Privacy Policy
Мапа тривог (Air Raid Alert Map) for Android and Google Chrome
Effective date: October 2, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Мапа тривог (Air Raid Alert Map) handles information. It covers both the Android app and the Google Chrome extension (together, “the App”; where they differ, this policy says so). The App is operated by Vieacheslav Nadiezhdin (“we”, “us”).
The App shows air raid alerts across Ukraine on a map, lets you choose regions to follow, and notifies you about alerts, all-clears and drone (UAV) movement reports.
2. Summary
- No account or registration. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- No location access. The App never requests GPS or network location; you choose regions manually.
- No browsing data. The Chrome extension does not read your tabs, history or the content of web pages.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking SDKs.
- Your regions stay on your device. Selected regions and settings are stored only on your phone or in your browser.
- Anonymous notifications. Our server never learns which regions you follow or who receives a notification.
3. Information stored on your device
The App keeps the following only in its private storage on your phone (Android) or in the extension’s local storage in your browser (Chrome):
- the regions you follow and your notification settings;
- recent alert history and information messages shown in the App (up to about 200 entries);
- the last known alert state, used to avoid duplicate notifications.
This data is not sent to us. It is deleted when you clear the App’s data or remove the App or extension.
4. Notifications
In both versions, our server never learns who receives a notification.
Android app. Notifications are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service of Google LLC.
- When the App starts, FCM creates a registration token and a Firebase installation ID for your copy of the App. These identifiers are processed by Google, not by us.
- For each region you follow, and the regions above it (its district and oblast), the App subscribes to a topic named after the region’s numeric code, for example
r_31. If you turn on information messages, it also subscribes to the topicinfo. - Our server sends each alert to the topic of the affected region. It never receives your token, device identifiers or list of regions.
- A notification contains only the alert type, region code, time and, for information messages, the public message text. It contains no personal data.
Chrome extension. The extension does not use Firebase. While Chrome is running, it receives the public alert status of all regions and decides on your computer which notifications to show, based on the regions stored in your browser. Notifications are created by Chrome itself; no identifiers are sent to us or to Google for this purpose.
5. Network connections
The App connects to two servers:
- the air raid alert data server (
uklio.com), to show the live map. The Android app connects while it is open; the Chrome extension stays connected while Chrome is running, so it can notify you; - our message feed server (
alert.uklio.com), to load drone movement reports and announcements for the Information panel.
Like any internet service, these servers receive your device’s IP address and basic request data (time, requested address, browser or app version) as part of the connection. We use this only to deliver the service and protect it from abuse, and never to identify you. Web server logs are rotated weekly and deleted automatically after about five weeks.
Drone movement reports are compiled on our server from public posts of the Ukrainian Air Force Telegram channel. The App does not access your Telegram account.
6. Third-party services
We do not sell or share personal information. The App relies on these services:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Google LLC | Delivering push notifications (Android app only) | Firebase privacy |
| Google Play services | Google LLC | Required by FCM (Android app only) | Google Privacy Policy |
| Air raid alert data | uklio.com | Live alert status for the map and notifications | Published by the provider |
Region boundaries are built into the App, so no map tiles or location services are used.
7. Permissions
The Android app requests only two permissions:
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Internet | Load alerts and messages, receive push notifications |
| Notifications (Android 13 and later) | Show alert, all-clear and information notifications. You can revoke it at any time in system settings. |
The Android app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, phone or SMS permissions.
The Chrome extension requests:
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Side panel | Show the map, alert list and settings in the browser’s side panel |
| Storage | Keep your regions, settings and recent alerts in the browser |
| Notifications | Show alert, all-clear and information notifications |
| Alarms | Periodically check that the connection to the alert server is active |
Access to alert.uklio.com | Load drone movement reports and announcements. The extension does not access any other website. |
8. Data retention and deletion
You control all data the App keeps, and you can remove it at any time:
- Stop notifications: turn off notifications in the App settings or remove all regions. The App then unsubscribes from all topics.
- Delete everything on the device: Android Settings → Apps → Мапа тривог → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling also invalidates the FCM token.
- Chrome extension: remove it at
chrome://extensions. Chrome deletes all data it stored. - Our server: keeps a rolling list of the last 200 public information messages and the current alert state. Neither contains personal data.
9. Children, security and your rights
- Children. The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
- Security. Connections to the alert data server and to our feed server are encrypted (HTTPS/WSS). The App stores data only in its private storage, which other apps and websites cannot read.
- International transfers. For the Android app, Google may process FCM identifiers on servers outside your country, under the Google policies linked above.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU GDPR or the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. We hold no data that identifies you, so clearing the App’s data fulfils most requests. You can also contact us.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the App or extension changes. The new version will be published at the same address with a new effective date, and significant changes will be noted in the release notes.
